When you hear the word “cannabidiol” what comes to mind? It seems that everyone has something to say about cannabidiol, but what’s true and what’s not? In early 2019, Project CBD decided to find out. It started one of the most comprehensive research surveys to date on the use of CBD. This is an in-depth survey with over 200 questions. The results will tell us what CBD truly remedies and clear up conflicting claims about “cannabidiol.”
By June 26, 3,506 people had completed the survey. People from over 58 different countries overall, with 80% living here in the U.S., especially in California, Texas, Florida and Washington. What have the results revealed so far?
90% of respondents reported improvements in the frequency and duration of their pain
33% of respondents who used CBD for diabetes reported that their blood sugar levels dropped
92% of participants experienced some relief from anxiety with 68% reporting that with CBD symptoms were much better
87% said that pain is the No. 1 reason they use CBD products. Arthritis and fibromyalgia are the leading pain conditions for CBD users.
And just in case you’re wondering, ProjectCBD is “a California-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting and publicizing research into the medical uses of cannabidiol (CBD) and other components of the cannabis plant.” To learn more about them and/or participate in the study visit projectcbd.org/cannabis-research. The more data they receive the better it is for us as consumers, so please spread the word.
As more and more studies are conducted we will be sure to keep you updated on the findings. And, please remember to consult with a professional before using cannabis for medical treatment. While CBD is amazing, everyone’s body is unique and results can vary.
